Ms. PacAmp by Ryan Bennett rybenn@aol.com http://members.aol.com/rybenn

First, I'd like to thank everyone for the huge response to my original PacAmp. I never expected it to become so huge. I want to apologize to anyone who's mail I didn't respond to, I've gotten terribly behind with that. I didn't think it was that good when I posted it on the Winamp site, just a hand-drawn, pixelated skin with no fancy rendering, shading, or highlighting. Guess I was wrong. I suppose that is the charm of the original Pac-Man though. Not bad for my first effort.
Then there was a problem: What next?
I've got a lot of e-mail asking me to do skins for other games, for other charters, and for other people. While I would like to do skins for other people, I've already got a couple projects going for some friends. (And yes, even they are paying. I don't work for free, unless its a good cause.) As far as other characters, maybe. But not in the near future, unless it's a charter that I'm a fan of. Other games? I got a few e-mails from people wanting to repaint my skin with other games. While that is flattering, my work is my work. I wouldn't be too flattered if someone ripped of my work wholesale, especially if they did it badly.
So what did Midway do when they needed a new game? They redesigned, repainted, and regurgitated their number one star from Namco and came up with Ms. Pac-Man. Inspiration. So I went through my first PacAmp and repainted everything. I did a few bug fixes on some minor button problems that got out on the first release. Then I kicked it up a notch with a kick-ass new equalizer animation.
So here is Ms. PacAmp. If you'd like to ask a question, make a suggestion, or just say hi, e-mail me at rybenn@aol.com . Just remember that it may take a while for a response. And if you ask me how to download or install I probably wont respond at all. That's what the help page at Winamp is for. If you want to ask a SPECIFIC question about making a skin, I'll help you out. Oh yeah, don't sell, steal, redistribute, revise, or do anything else to or with this skin that would cause you bad karma. I saw PacAmp on Tucows without any credit to me and they wont take it down after I asked. It's stuff like that is bad karma.
Well, have fun with this skin.
	Ryan.
