Version 1.4.0
Author: Gerko van Nes

About this skin:

This Classic skin for Winamp (5 Classic or 2.x) is based on the interface of the game "Fallout: A post nuclear role playing game", first released in 1997 by Interplay. If you haven't played it, go look it up. It's awesome.

This skin is almost exclusively comprised of screenshots taken from Fallout 1 and 2 (F12 is your friend), which have been cut, copied, pasted, resized and hammered into the shape of the skin as you see it now.

In anticipation (and fear) of Bethesda's upcoming Fallout 3, I thought it would be a good idea to give this skin another look. Version 1.3.0 was supposed to be the final release, but hey. Winamp updated and added some windows. (And at the same time invalidating the windows from the previous update. Hmph!)
So here, a "few" years late, is version 1.4.0. An all new General Purpose window, a Video window based on the Playlist, some slightly changed colors, and a few other minor touch-ups. Enjoy.

Known bugs:

- Oh, for crying out loud, don't [pause] the darn thing ! It looks silly.
- Tracks longer than 99 minutes and 59 seconds mess up the number display when it gets to 100+. (Related to the pause bug)
- With smooth resize enabled, graphics can glitch a bit. Attempted to minimize it in the video window, with some succes.

Bug me enough about the first two uh .. bugs and I'll consider integrating the playpaus window with the number readout, but for the moment it seemed too much work. Besides, I like the look of the playpaus window.

Feel free to distribute this skin, just make sure to give credit where credit is due. Don't change something and redistribute without my consent. Don't try to pass this off as your own. Blah blah. You know the drill.

I acknowledge that I've used copyrighted material myself, but I consider my use of screenshots from the Fallout games to fall under Fair Use. However, any attempt to distribute this skin (or parts thereof) commercially will need explicit consent from both myself as well as the copyright owner of the original content, which I believe is Bethesda Softworks. (Used to be owned by Interplay Entertainment, but they sold the Fallout rights. I believe this includes the copyright to the older games. Not entirely sure.)

Oh, and since it's been an issue in the past : "Sir Qwerty" (author of the Vault-Tec skin) DOES HAVE permission to use my cursors, NOR do I consider the rest of his skin to be a rip. We simply had the same source of inspiration.
